"Made in Zhangzhou" makes a remarkable splash!
Recently, with the release of Fujian Province's list of major first (set of) technological equipment, three new "Made in Zhangzhou" pieces of equipment stood out.
In the sample workshop of Jialong Technology Co., Ltd., reporters saw the company's self-developed flagship product—the "fully automatic six-sided secondary bagging machine." After rice is initially bagged and vacuum-sealed into brick-shaped packs, it is transported via conveyor belt into the secondary bagging machine, which then loads it into cartons—all in one smooth, continuous process.
The rice commonly seen in supermarkets usually has two layers of packaging: an inner vacuum-sealed brick and an outer branded decorative package. Secondary bagging ensures both hygiene and aesthetic appeal, making it the mainstream packaging method for rice products. However, in traditional production, this step has long relied on manual labor, limiting efficiency. Jialong Technology identified this industry pain point and developed an innovative solution.
Lu Yuanji, Senior Engineer at Jialong Technology:
"Previously, the failure rate of automated bagging across the industry was very high, with only about a 95% success rate. Our equipment improves this by 2 percentage points. Additionally, it doubles the packaging speed—while traditional methods typically handled 500 bags per hour, the new machine can reach 1,000 bags.
Moreover, for the secondary bagging process, manual operations previously required 5-6 workers, but now, this machine accomplishes the same task with just one operator."
In addition to Jialong Technology, two other Zhangzhou-made breakthroughs made this year's provincial list:
Fujian's first "High-Precision CNC Dual-Station Swapping Worktable Machining Center"
"535kV Rated Voltage DC Extruded Insulation Submarine Cable System" for power transmission
To date, Zhangzhou has secured provincial recognition for 19 major "first (set of)" technological equipment, spanning:
Machinery manufacturing & automation
Food processing
New energy & environmental tech
High-end & precision equipment
All certified innovations demonstrate strong commercialization potential, reinforcing Zhangzhou's role as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
Lu Yuanji, Senior Engineer at Jialong Technology:
"The municipal government provides a 30% subsidy on the first unit sold, which significantly boosts our confidence in R&D investment and fuels our passion for technological innovation."
The promotion and application of major first-of-its-kind technological equipment serves as a pivotal driver in stimulating corporate innovation and facilitating technological upgrades. In accordance with provincial and municipal incentive policies:
Nationally pioneering equipment qualifies for subsidies up to 60% of the market price (capped at 2 million yuan). Provincially pioneering equipment receives subsidies up to 30% (capped at 1 million yuan).
An official from the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Department emphasized: "Our next phase focuses on dual-path development - synchronizing R&D with practical application. We'll leverage market demand to drive equipment innovation while using demonstration projects to accelerate technological breakthroughs, ultimately fostering next-generation productivity through advanced equipment development."
